First off, Andrea's luggage has arrived. It showed up "United Airlines RUSH" at 4:22 yesterday. She was very giddy that it had finally arrived. She is now wearing a different pair of pants to class. And she has a fanny pack (instead of a big purse).
There are bunny rabbits outside the hotel! They are adorable, with little white tails. And Andrea wants me to tell you that she took a picture of a duck. He seemed a little perturbed that we were following him around.
And, I forgot to mention in my previous emails, that when we were filling out the Customs form to enter the US, and Andrea blithely checked off "NO" to the question "are you importing any fruits into the US" (cause it's illegal, don't you know). And wouldn't you know it, she had at least THREE Energy to Go bars (which contain fruit) in her purse. I am going to turn her in for the reward.
We can't eat at Taco Bell today, because there is going to be a big protest. Some people are angry because Taco Bell buys tomatoes from non-union farms. Last night, all the buildings around here started setting up barricades and parking permits. Maybe Andrea can get some action shots!
It gets dark earlier than I expected. By 6 p.m., the sun is down. Andrea and I were wandering around last night taking pictures. (Yes, we're touristy geeks.) We ate at a Mexican-style place - the steak was delicious! And there were enchiladas and other Mexico-y things to eat (too much on the plate - couldn't finish).
And although Andrea is on the 8th floor, and I'm on the 3rd, I have a king-sized bed and a chaise, and she's just got two double beds, so now I'm happy. Plus, I have hills in the distance outside my window, and she's got a freeway. Ha ha, Andrea. Sucks to be you!
Hopefully class will be shorter today, and then we can plan our Disneyland adventure. Tim will approve all those expenses, right????
